The Connecting Through Music Program is a free joint enrichment program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their caregivers.
Music is a great way to connect to Alzheimer and dementia patients. Caregivers say music therapy for dementia patients results in calmer, happier people. Beyond that, music can soothe, stimulate and bring to mind long-forgotten memories. Group sessions will focus on engaging the caregiver and their loved ones in meaningful music activities guided by a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
