Home care is a broad range of health care and supportive services provided in people’s homes. Services provided by home
care agencies are skilled or custodial. Skilled services are provided by health care professionals such as Registered Nurses
(RN), Physical Therapists (PT), Speech Therapists (ST), Occupational Therapists (OT) and Medical Social Workers (LCSW).
Custodial Care includes activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, meal preparation, feeding, toileting, dressing, supervision
or any other care that does not require a health care professional. These services are provided by a Home health
Aide (HHA) or a Personal Care Aide (PCA).
